Waxing Vs Sugaring
On the delicate areas such as the face, underarms and bikini area we use two methods of hair removal: hard wax or sugaring.
For larger areas such as the arms, legs, chest and back we use strip wax.
Strip Wax with Mallory and Emily
This form of wax is used on tougher skin like the arms, legs, chest and back where there is more dead skin cell accumulation. It’s a great, quick and relatively painless way to remove hairs in a large area with little to no risk of hurting the skin. Although strip wax is a great option for larger areas it is typically to aggressive for delicate areas of the body or for people with very sensitive skin.
Hard wax
Hard wax is the gentlest of the types of wax and works well to remove hair and reduce regrowth. It removes dead skin cells, hair and some live skin cells. It is a one-time use product so there is no concern of cross contamination or having contaminated wax used on you. It is safe and relatively gentle to the skin.
Sugaring with Mallory and Emily
Sugaring is a very gentle method of hair removal as it only adheres to dead skin cells and the hair leaving the live skin cells untouched. Sugar is also a one-time use product so there is no cross contamination. Sugaring picks up all hair including the soft vellus hairs and pulls them directly out of the follicle which helps prevent the risk of irritation and ingrown hairs. Sugaring dramatically reduces the regrowth of hair and encourages the regrowth to come in softer and lighter in appearance.
